JUDY OUBRE PERSONAL BACKGROUND
|
I was born and raised in Stockton, California. Upon graduation from college, I worked for Macy’s California in San Francisco in retail management. My husband Don and I were married in 1979, and we moved eight times within a 12 year period during his naval career. Although we spent several years in California, we also lived in Hawaii, Kansas, and in Greece. Slidell has been our home since 1992. We have two children, Allison and David. They have already graduated from college.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND I graduated from San Jose State University in California with a BA degree in Psychology in 1974. Immediately after, I attended graduate school for one year in Counselor Education. From 1990 to 1997, I did a lot of substitute teaching in Hawaii and in several schools in St. Tammany Parish. In May 1997, I received my teaching certificate from Southeastern University in Hammond . Brock Elementary has been my home since 1999. Prior to coming to Brock, I was a part-time Special Education teacher at Bonne Ecole Elementary for one year.
