PBIS-Positive Behavior Interventions and Strategies

Brock Elementary is committed to promoting a positive learning environment. Appropriate behavior is encouraged and reinforced in the classroom. In addition to frequent praise and encouragement, the Brock staff will recognize and celebrate good behavior through the following school- wide incentive programs.

Clubs

At Brock Elementary, students in 3rd through 5th grade may join a club.  The following clubs meet once a month from 2:15-2:45.

Patriots Club: A service club designed to allow students to actively engage in daily tasks on campus such as assisting in the office, flag duty and other related tasks. 

Art Club: A club for students who love to draw or want to learn how to draw.

Kindness Club: A club for students who love to make people's day by doing random acts of kindness.

Strategy Games Club: A club for students who like to play a variety of board and card games.

Fitness Club: A club for students who want to actively play fun games in the gym.

Book Buddies Club: A club for students who love to read and would like to read to other Brock students in the lower grades.

Organizations

Chorus: Students will be chosen by the music teacher and will perform at our school programs. (2nd-5th Grade)

Student Council: Students are picked by the teacher/students from each homeroom class. A student council is a group of student leaders who work with an adult advisor to collaborate with others to impact their school community. (K-5th Grade)

Cheer Squad/Stompers: Students must try out, and if chosen will represent our school during programs and parades. (3rd-5th Grade)

Band: Students who join will learn the fundamentals of their chosen instrument. (parent permission) (5th Grade)

Strings Program: Students who join will learn the fundamentals of the violin. (parent permission) (all grades)
